The NCAA came down with a penalty for Ole Miss on Friday which includes a two-year bowl ban and scholarship reductions. Also, according to the NCAA, only seniors will be able to transfer elsewhere without having to sit out a year.
NCAA spokeswoman Stacey Osborne confirmed to ESPN that Ole Miss seniors will be allowed to transfer without penalty because of the postseason ban for 2018. According to NCAA rules, "It is not necessary for an institution to obtain permission in writing… https://t.co/qNkjnxLCXd

As a result, Shae Patterson, who could be looking to play elsewhere next year, will have to sit out a year.

Michigan’s QBs next year will most likely be Brandon Peters, Dylan McCaffrey, Joe Milton and Kevin Doyle.
