Urban Meyer will serve a three-game suspension for his handling of domestic abuse allegations of former assistant WR coach Zach Smith, it has been announced. Here are some of the reason theBuckeyes are keeping their coach:
Mary Jo White: Urban Meyer was aware of 2015 domestic violence allegations, he was informed of them by Gene Smith; both Meyer & Smith monitored the investigation for months. Gene Smith didn’t contact Ohio State compliance about the Smith domestic violence allegations

Urban Meyer says he gave Zach Smith the benefit of the doubt and that Smith was Earle Bruce's grandson likely impacted how he treated Smith.

White says @OSUCoachMeyer did not deliberately lie. when he made his statements at Big Ten Media Days his comments were responding to “erroneous reporting” that said Zach Smith had been arrested. He was not arrested even though a Powell Police initially indicated that. @10TV pic.twitter.com/WWXdovewuG
