Head Ref For The Rose Bowl Game Has An Interesting Background

Ahead of this evening’s Rose Bowl Game, Alabama fans have uncovered that head referee Mike VanderVelde, who got his start reffing in Grand Rapids, Michigan,  once ‘Liked’ a post about Michigan Basketball beating OSU from 2014.

The referees are from the Big 12 Conference, with VanderVelde being ref for the XFL Championship Game in May.

Hopefully the refs will not determine the outcome of the game and call a fair one.
