After Jim Harbaugh was talking with media on Wednesday and discussed how Covid-19 is a part of society and he is unaware if sports will make the virus worse. Many on Twitter didn’t see Harbaugh’s full quote (at bottom of post) and are taking his words and making their own context:

It’s almost as if he doesn’t understand science or how viruses work. Whoops I meant, he absolutely doesn’t understand science or how viruses work.

Here was the context of the Harbaugh quote:
Harbaugh on COVID-19 and fb season: "If it comes to a point in time you say that we can’t play, it’s obvious, it’s clear, everybody would be reasonable and know that would be the right thing to do. COVID is part of our society. It wasn’t caused by football or caused by sports…"

Since this is getting some traction: Harbaugh was pretty deferential overall to the experts. If a decision is made not to play, he indicated he'd support it. Don't think he was implying there's no risk, only that he's comfortable with how the risks are being managed. FWIW. https://t.co/TRYWEfHQtf

the "COVID is part of our society" quote is way less bad in context https://t.co/jgxaFxwAWJ
