It was announced that Michigan vs. Michigan State will be a night game once again this year. After last year’s tunnel incident, Mel Tucker issued the following about possibly ‘reining’ it in:
“How do you rein it in? I don’t know how you do that,” Mel Tucker said. “There’s not a day that’s gone by that I haven’t heard something about that game. I mean, every day of my life I hear about that game, so I don’t know how you rein that in. It just is what it is.”
Meanwhile, Jim Harbaugh had the following to say about MSU and not speaking with Mel Tucker:
Jim Harbaugh says mutual respect is the goal in the MSU rivalry and says they have it for Michigan State. "Unknowable" if MSU has it for them. Has not spoken with Mel Tucker since the incident in the tunnel last fall.
