Freshman Overtakes Upperclassman For Starting Job

As noted by new LB coach George Helow, Nikhai Hill-Green, a former four-star out of St. Frances HS in Baltimore, is expected to start at LB alongside Josh Ross.

George Helow says Nikhai Hill-Green is starting WILL LB: "Nikhai had a plan this offseason. Really got after it well in the weight room, changed his body and had a great camp. He’s our starting WILL linebacker right now, He’s earned the right to start."

Hill-Green has beaten out Michael Barrett who was the Wolverines returning starter at LB.
