Five-Star QB CJ Carr Announces College Choice, Spurns Michigan

The grandson of Lloyd Carr, CJ Carr, announced his commitment to Notre Dame on Thursday evening.

2024 QB CJ Carr, grandson of Lloyd Carr, just committed to Notre Dame. Carr told me this week that he knew since last spring he wanted to pick the Irish and has always wanted to go to school away from home.

He said he bought his grandpa a Notre Dame shirt, as well. #NotreDame

Carr, a Saline, Michigan native and top 30 recruit in the 2024 class, picked the Irish over Michigan and many others.

Michigan’s attention turns to fellow five-star in-state QB Dante Moore, who is younger than Carr but is in the 2023 class and a top 10 recruit.
