The reigning Broyles award winner as the top assistant coach in college football last year, Gattis, who has worked under Nick Saban and Jim Harbaugh, seems like the obvious choice. The Wolverines wouldn’t have to change too much in terms of assistants as they could keep their staff intact. The 38-year old Gattis has been with the Wolverines for three years and has previously been at Penn State and Wake Forest (where he played college ball).
