Christian McCaffrey To Skip Stanford’s Bowl Game To Prepare For NFL Draft

Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey shared on Twitter Monday that he will skip out on the Hyundai Sun Bowl to focus on his NFL draft preparation.

LSU RB Leonard Fournette, who like McCaffrey is slated to be a first-round pick, will also be skipping LSU’s bowl game (Citrus bowl).

McCaffrey and Fournette’s decision are likely a result of Notre Dame’s Jaylon Smith suffering a serious knee injury in the Fiesta bowl last year – which hurt his draft stock and cost him millions of dollars.
