Things weren’t looking great for Tony Bennett and co after Maryland fouled up 3 with less than 5 seconds left in regulation. However, Malcolm Brogdon hit his first free throw and then purposefully missed his second, allowing for the Cavaliers to regain possession with less than 2 seconds remaining. On the resulting inbounds play, Anthony Gill ran around a Joe Harris screen and was left wide open in the paint, converting the sneaky inbounds pass with .5 seconds left in the game.
Maryland wound up winning the game 75-69, though.
