It’s been that kind of year for Texas (13-15 in the Big 12) playing without their best player Myck Kabongo for the majority of the year. Texas hasn’t had much in terms of talent with Kabongo being suspended 23 game by the NCAA for receiving impermissible benefits.
Having him back in the lineup Wednesday night, however, made all the difference in Texas’ victory over Oklahoma. The sophomore point guard fueled a 22 point come back by scoring a career high 31 points, grabbing eight boards and dishing out six assists.
If it hadn’t had been for the acrobatic shot Kabongo hit at the end of regulation, Texas would have never won the game in overtime, 92-86.
