The refs reviewed the play and eventually called the game. MSU wound up beating FGCU by 1, 78-77, improving to 2-2 on the year.

Dooley said the play was for Simmons to catch the ball, take a dribble and lay it in. When the clock sounded, Simmons shot it, instead.
