Minnesota has shown during early non-conference play that the Big Ten won’t be just a four team race with Indiana, Michigan, Ohio State and Michigan State. With early victories over Memphis, Stanford and Florida State, Minnesota looks poised to be that surprise team in the Big Ten.
The Gophers feature a solid core in Rodney Williams (freakishly shown above), Trevor Mbakwe, Joe Coleman and Austin and Andre Hollins. With their only loss of the season so far coming against Duke (89-71), the early signs point to No.21 Minnesota finishing ahead of Wisconsin for fifth in the Big Ten.
