I think it is a different enough game now a days to fairly compare the Fab Five and the Kentucky team that just won the NCAA Championship. I also think that it’s a little difficult to compare the fact that Michigan started all five freshmen for more than half of the year, while Kentucky never started all five at once. Not to mention the fact that the Fab Five never won a championship.
One thing that isn’t up for debate is that both teams had unbelievably impressive freshman recruiting classes. It’s obviously something that doesn’t have a definitive answer, but it’s an intriguing topic to debate and finally gave ESPN something new and different to talk about.
