PG – Marcus Paige: Paige saw a drop in scoring production from his sophomore to junior year, but did increase his assist/game. As the point guard and floor general, UNC is in very good shape with Paige announcing his return for his senior season.
SG – Theo Pinson: Although Pinson was out for most of his freshman season because of a foot injury, UNC fans saw a glimpse of the five-star potential he provides. Expectations are still high for Pinson, an athletic guard, who’s currently slated as a 1st rounder in Draft Express’ 2016 draft.

SF – Justin Jackson: Johnson showed during the NCAA tournament that he is one of the most deadly players in the country when his jumper is on. Needs to improve on his rebounding/assist numbers, but expect his 10.7 points a game to go up next year. Has the potential to be a lottery pick.
PF – Brice Johnson: Johnson made huge strides from his sophomore to his junior season and cemented himself as one of college basketball’s best rebounders. A forward combo of Johnson and Meeks looked terrific throughout the year for the Tar Heels.
C – Kennedy Meeks: The only ‘true’ back-to-the-basket player on UNC’s roster, Meeks, like Johnson, developed into a terrific player last year for Carolina. Averaging 11.4 points and 7.3 rebounds, Meeks will be one of, if not the best center in the ACC next season.
Bench rotation: 6) Nate Britt 7) Isaiah Hicks 8) Joel Berry 9) Luke Maye (Brandon Ingram? Jaylen Brown?)

The issue with this team likely will be the same as it was with last year group – there doesn’t appear to be a great shooter on the roster. Even with the potential shooting struggles, the likely departure of J.P. Tokoto and potentially not landing Brown or Ingram, UNC is in very good shape to make a Final Four run next season.
