Ohio State picked up a huge basketball commitment this past weekend as DJ Carton picked them while on an official visit to Columbus. How close was the Bettendorf, Iowa native to picking the Wolverines? Take a look at this quote from the Dispatch-Argus:
“At first, I had my official visit to Ohio State was scheduled for September,” Carton said. “I went to Michigan and really enjoyed it. I was ready to commit the next day, but I thought more about it and was able to get the Ohio State date moved up between Michigan and Indiana.
“I was just looking for that right feeling and I got it at Ohio State. It was about being able to be myself and fit right in. On the ride home I just got an excited feeling in my stomach and knew Ohio State was the right place for me.”
