California announced today that they have hired Tennesee Cuonzo Martin to replace Mike Montgomery, who retired after coaching the Bears for seven seasons, according to Jeff Goodman. Martin led UT to a 21-14 overall record this season and a Sweet 16 appearance during the NCAA Tournament.
To make things even sweeter for California, 7-foot-1 Kinglsey Okoroh, once a Tennessee commit, announced on Twitter that he would follow Martin to Cal.
I announce my commitment to the University of California Berkeley. I'm very excited to be a BEAR !
