Creighton’s Devin Brooks gets credited with assist after unintentional off-backboard pass

Creighton’s Austin Chatman found the ball in his hand for the open three-pointer after one of the weirder sequences of events during Thursday’s AAC Quarterfinal game with DePaul. Devin Brooks had tried to throw a pass to his big man, Will Artino, but that pass was so bad/lucky that it went off the backboard and directly into Chatman’s hands.

Creighton and Doug McDermott had no problem with DePaul during the quarterfinals of the AAC Tournament, winning 84-62.
