It must be the March in college basketball where emotions are running high for every game played. After Tuesday night’s fight between Notre Dame and St. John’s, Cal and Stanford also got into a shoving match on Wednesday night in Berkeley.
Things could have escalated faster than they actually did, however, when Cal’s Allen Crabbe and Stanford’s Aaron Bright fought for a jump ball. The two teams did a good job of separating the players from one another, but there were still a few punches/hard shoves thrown.
Four Stanford coaches and one player from each team were ejected for leaving the bench. Cal is still fighting for a spot in the NCAA tournament, Stanford not so much.
