Eddie the Sea Otter at the Oregon Zoo had been having trouble with arthritis, and the Zoo was looking for a way to get him to work his joints and keep them from stiffening up. Naturally they decided that teaching him how to dunk a basketball on a little Portland Trail Blazers hoop was the way to go. Interestingly enough, they say that they don’t let him do this during shows, and that it’s merely a behind-the-scenes activity. If this hasn’t convinced you enough to watch the video, perhaps the one sentence description of the video will: “Eddie, a geriatric sea otter at the Oregon Zoo, plays basketball to help him with his arthritis.”
