Brandon Pope of South Bend’s local ABC affiliate is reporting that five Notre Dame players – Max Redfield, Ashton White, Kevin Stepherson, Tevon Coney and Dexter Williams – were arrested Friday night in Fulton County, Indiana with marijuana and an unlicensed handgun.

Redfield is projected to be the starting safety and the other four contributors for the Irish’s week 1 game against Texas.
In a seperate incident, senior cornerback Devin Butler was also arrested on Saturday on charges of battery against a police officer and resisting a police officer.
