As expected, Michigan RB coach Tyrone Wheatley Jr. said, while talking with media on Thursday, that the running back position is De’Veon Smith’s to lose.

Smith finished the 2015 season with 753-yards on 180-carries and six touchdowns. Drake Johnson, Ty Isaac, Karan Higdon, Kareem Walker and Kingston Davis will all be fighting with Smith for carries next year in the Wolverines’ backfield.
