Maryland Hires Scott Shafer To Be DC

It was announced Tuesday that former Syracuse head coach Scott Schafer will man Maryland’s defense under new coach D.J. Durkin.

Shafer, once a defensive coordinator at Michigan under Rich Rodriguez, was thought to be a potential candidate to replace Durkin as Michigan’s DC under Harbaugh.
