Mississippi State’s Dan Mullen, once thought of as a candidate for the Michigan coaching position before Jim Harbaugh, was asked about the Wolverines’ satellite camps which has resulted in five commits already. Here was his Mullen’s response on the Head to Head radio show in Mississippi:
Mullen: if Jim Harbaugh’s going to have a camp, he’d probably want to teach young kids in Michigan how to be better football players.

Mullen re: satellite camps: "the only purpose for it is obviously recruiting. I don’t think it’s the right purpose for camps.”

Mullen: "Satellite camps are recruiting camps. Basically it’s a recruiting thing, is what they’re doing it for.”

Mullen on satellite camps: “I’d rather them come here and see us, because they get to see our campus, see our facilities…”

I’m guessing Mullen won’t be recruiting in the state of Michigan anytime in the near future.
