After hearing pitches from adidas, Under Armour and Nike, the Michigan Athletic Department has apparently settled on a new apparel company. Sources to Rivals’ Chris Balas says that a deal is in place between Nike and Michigan.

Balas also notes the Michigan Athletic Department believes that Nike gives the school ‘an advantage’, and that most of the student athletes prefer Nike to adidas ($).
Michigan must inform adidas this fall whether they’ll renew with them or not. The current contract with adidas runs up in 2016-17.
