With the departure of freshman Tyus Jones, Duke was in the market for a point guard for next season – and Derryck Thornton will be the guy. Thornton, a five-star from Henderson, Nevada, who originally was in the 2016 class, announced his commitment to Duke this afternoon and will play for the Blue Devils next season.
I thank God for this opportunity, I thank my parents and coaches for believing in me. I have officially committed to Duke 2015 #BlueDevils
