The Lakers and Clippers meet-up at the Staples Center on Saturday night, proved to be one of the best basketball games of the season. While Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul matched each other on the offensive end of the court with impressive performances, it was Lakers’ rookie point guard, Darius Morris, who provided the highlight of the night.
Morris took the inbounds pass from Josh McRoberts, with 1.7 seconds left in the first quarter, eluding Chris Paul, and was nothing but net with this half-court prayer.
Although the Clippers come out victorious against their crosstown rivals, 102-94, the 21 year-old Morris played his first big minutes of the season, guarding Chris Paul who went for 33 points, and feeding Kobe to his fourth consecutive 40 point night.
