Although the Detroit Pistons are unlikely to make the NBA Playoffs, they still may make a deal before Thursday’s NBA trade deadline. One of the rumors circulating is that Detroit is looking to add veteran shooting guard Joe Johnson.
Detroit, who would send Brooklyn Brandon Jennings, Jonas Jerebko, Caron Butler and picks, would make this deal because of the financial flexibility it would give them for 2016 free-agency. Johnson is expected to make nearly $25 million in the final year of his contract during the 2015-16 season.
