USC commit and 2016 football recruit Daelin Hayes is moving on to his 4th high school in less than 4 years. The #1 player in the state of Michigan is a hulking 6’4″ 225 lbs linebacker and while he hasn’t played much over the last year because of transferring schools, he will get plenty of time to play at Skyline. Daelin Hayes is the younger brother of current Michigan running back Justice Hayes, so maybe this will help their recruitment of him.
The Detroit Free Press has more:
A 6-foot-4, 225-pound linebacker, Hayes attended Orchard Lake St. Mary’s for his first two years of high school, but played in only one varsity game and was injured in the opening game of his sophomore year.

Last summer he moved to California and played about half the season for Ventura St. Bonaventure before moving back to the Detroit area and enrolling at Cass Tech, where he was ineligible.
Now he is at Skyline, which was 0-9 last season, Brock’s first year as head coach. Brock said he had no idea Hayes planned to transfer to Skyline, and said he had no contact with the family before Hayes transferred to Skyline.
“All I was privy to, in terms of the family, is that the situation at home changed where it was not feasible for him to go to Cass Tech,” Brock said. “The kid has his offers, he’s going to school, everything is secure. He’s really a firm and mature kid, in my estimation, in a lot ways. Skyline is a very high academic high school and that’s important, too, to the family and that’s how it worked out.”
Brock said he will spend the upcoming months figuring out a place to play Hayes on offense as well as at linebacker.
