Michigan has hired current Youngstown State DB coach, Mike Zordich, to be the team’s defensive backs coach, Akron reporter Chad Krispinsky Tweeted. This is somewhat shocking news as it appeared that Roy Manning would be retained from the previous coaching staff for that position.
I'm told that YSU Assistant Mike Zordich is leaving the Penguins to take a assistant coaching position on Jim Harbaugh's staff at Michigan

Zordich, who played 12-seasons in the NFL as a DB, started coaching at Cardinal Mooney HS in Ohio in 2003. Zordich then went to the Philadelphia Eagles as a DQC coach in 2009 and 2010 and then as safeties coach the next two years. He was most recently the safeties coach for Youngstown State where new coach Bo Pelini reportedly planed on bringing him back this upcoming year.
Zordich is the father of former Penn State running back Michael Zordich.
