It’s finally official. Michigan has their guy. DJ Durkin, who was recently the defensive coordinator for Florida, will take over the same position at Michigan. Via Football Scoop:
Sources confirm to FootballScoop that DJ Durkin has agreed to become defensive coordinator at Michigan. Durkin, Florida’s defensive coordinator (and interim head coach) had been targeted by a number of other high profile programs for the same role.
Durkin, 36, was Harbaugh’s special teams coordinator at Stanford in 2009. He will coach the defensive unit with last season’s DC, Greg Mattison.
