It really doesn’t get much worse than this, except for the one or two times that a player has safetied himself by running out and then stepping back in and taking a knee. Iowa kick returner Jonathan Parker inexplicably caught the ball near the sideline and then even more bizarrely chucked the ball forward as he was going out of bounds.

His teammates were understandably caught off guard and Tennessee recovered the football. Parker was initially ruled to have stepped out of bounds, but after a review, it was determined that he didn’t and it was just an illegal forward pass.
