Virginia Tech Runs Awful Fake Punt With Lead Late In The 4th Quarter

With a one-point lead late in the 4th quarter, I could understand going for it on 4th down or running a fake, but it would depend on the field position and the down and distance obviously. On 4th and 16, from their own side of the 50, Frank Beamer decided that it was the proper time to run a fake punt against Duke. Obviously, it didn’t work because it was an awful decision and an awful play design.

Virginia would end up holding on to the win.
