Anderson Varejao Announced As Cavs Starting Center, Beating Out Tristan Thompson

It was announced by coach David Blatt that Anderson Varejao beat out Tristan Thompson for the starting center position. Varejao will join Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters, LeBron James and Kevin Love in the starting lineup. Varejao, who averaged 8 ppg and 9 rebounds last season, beat out the expected starter, 23-year-old Thompson.
