It was rumored that the Boston Red Sox could be trading Jon Lester once he was scratched from a start earlier in the week. On Thursday morning, the Red Sox moved Lester along with Jonny Gomes to the Oakland A’s for outfield Yoenis Cespedes. The Red Sox faithful have to be very happy with this move for their future and it’s clear that the A’s are going all-in on winning it all this year after this trade and after acquiring Jeff Samardzija for two top prospects earlier in the season.
