Baltimore Orioles shortstop J.J. Hardy had quite a cold streak going, having gone 86 games without hitting a dinger. After he finally hit a homer against the New York Yankees on Saturday he got the silent treatment from his teammates.
“As I was rounding third, I kind of looked in the dugout and no one had moved,” Hardy told reporters. “And I knew they were going to just sit there. Luckily, there was a bag just sitting there on the top step. So I grabbed it and figured I’d give myself a sunflower seed shower.”
They finally joined in eventually.
