Following the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49ers game, head coaches Jim Schwartz and Jim Harbaugh, went mano-e-mano at center field.
Following the 49ers 25-19 victory over the Lions, an excited Jim Harbaugh and frustrated Jim Schwartz, met after the game. Emotions ran high as the two coaches shook hands. Harbaugh’s aggressive shake and egotistical smirk probably disrespected Schwartz and led to the altercation.
One of the 49ers offensive lineman, Anthony Davis, was right in the middle of the action. Tom Leyland Detroit Sports News Analysis, reports that Lions “Cliff Avril went after Davis as teams walked off field at halftime”. “He had to be held back by his teammates”. Apparently, “Cliff was extremely upset at something Davis did.”
According to his tweet, Davis saved Jim Schwartz from someone (we don’t exactly know who). In my opinion, he implies his fellow teammates were ready to start an all out brawl Ron Artest style.
One can only hope that the 49ers and Lions meet in the playoffs and Ndamukoung Suh remembers this tweet.
Propers to @Prideofdetroit for getting this tweet before it was deleted.
