The Indiana Hoosiers-Iowa Hawkeyes basketball game was postponed on Tuesday night because of some roof issues at Assembly Hall. More specifically a piece of tin fell from the roof into the stands. Looks like those $40 Million renovations can’t come soon enough. Somewhere Tom Crean is screaming at the roof “you ruined our program!!”
Our crew at IU (Iowa 9 p.m. E1): Metal facing plate falls from ceiling, smashes 1 seat, damages 5. Engineers assessing. Status of game TBD.

UPDATE: The Indiana Athletic Director Fred Glass has issued a statement.
“Safety is our No.1 priority. Our University engineers have advised us to postpone events in Assembly Hall until it can be determined what caused the facing to fall and ensure the safety of everyone attending an event in the facility.”
