Michal Neuvirth was just an afterthought for most of November, January, and all of December. However, over the Capitals’ last three game he’s taken control of the starting job over Braden Holtby and Philipp Grubauer. Though he picked up the loss on Tuesday night, he allowed only one goal and made 27 saves, one of which was in style.

This acrobatic windmill save may very well be the save of the year and definitely Neuvirth’s career best.
