As of last night’s Seahawks win over the Denver Broncos, Doug Baldwin has a Super Bowl ring while one of the NFL’s greatest WR’s of all-time, Cris Carter, does not.
The undrafted WR out of Stanford finished with five receptions for 66-yards and this touchdown in Sunday’s game. As good as Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse, Percy Harvin and the rest of the Seahawks’ receiving core played, they still had many doubters going into the game.
One analyst, ESPN’s Cris Carter, went as far as calling the Seahawks wide receivers as “appetizers.” This upset Baldwin, and after the game, the 25-year-old ripped into the 2013 NFL Hall of Fame inductee.
“That dude that said that we were appetizers, he told me to Google him. But I didn’t see any Super Bowl appearances and I also saw two losses in the conference championship. I have a Super Bowl ring and I will gladly show that to him. And if he doesn’t have time to come see it, tell him to Google it. “
Carter responded to Baldwin’s jab, telling him to get over it:
