California’s Justin Cobbs, the same kid who wedged the ball between the backboard and rim a couple of nights ago on a fastbreak, hit an unbelievable game winner with less than a second left tonight to give Arizona its first loss of the season. Cobbs dribbled to his left and beat Nick Johnson, arguably one of the best players in the country, on a fadeaway. Above is the link to the shot.
The Golden Bears are now 11-1 on the season at home and 6-3 in the Pac-12, with the team’s only home loss coming at the hands of a talented Arizona State team. Somehow, I think we’ll be hearing Cobbs’ name a lot come March.
