Iowa State got its second consecutive big non-conference win on Wednesday night defeating BYU on the road 90-88, unfortunately, not without an issue. After Iowa State’s best player, Melvin Ejim, fouled out in the 4th quarter with under two minutes, the 6-foot-6 forward gave the middle finger to the BYU fans. Here’s a close up pic and a GIF of the whole thing. Ejim will certainly be hearing from the Big 12 office first thing tomorrow morning.
Ejim apologized after this game in the form of this tweet:
Definitely lost my composure today. I apologize to the byu student section and Iowa state university. What I did was inexcusable and rude.

The game also featured another notable finger when ISU’s DeAndre Kane was ejected for eye-gauging BYU’s Eric Mika.
