On 3rd and 23 with 15 seconds left and no timeouts, Michigan threw a pass in bounds to try and get into field goal range. With no ability to stop the clock, the Michigan field goal unit hustled onto the field and Drew Dileo slid into his spot as the holder. Brendan Gibbons hurried and pumped through a 44-yard field goal to tie the game as time expired to send it to overtime. It took an incredibly orchestrated Michigan special teams unit to get on the field and get this attempt off in such little time. Michigan went on to get the win over a reeling Northwestern team in triple overtime.
