Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer gave a fist bump to referee Pete Morelli after the Cardinals received a favorable roughing the passer penalty in the third quarter. The penalty resulted in a first down and helped the Cardinals continue their drive that ended in a field goal to cut the Detroit Lions lead to 21-19. It’s not uncommon to see referees and players pat each other on the back during games, it’s plausible that Morelli was just asking if he was okay.
