The new epidemic in football has now reached every single level. Texas Tech’s DeAndre Washington made a fantastic play to snag a screen pass and take it to the house. Unfortunately for Washington and the Red Raiders, Washington dropped the ball just before the goal line and the touchdown was called back. I will never understand why a player can’t drop the ball five yards deep into the end zone. Does the ball really weigh that much that you have to drop the ball immediately? You would think that with all the criticism players receive when this happens, that it would never happen again.
