A Washington Huskies student tweeted out a photo of two possible new helmets the Huskies could wear this year. The tweet from the UW student Tyson Losness has since been deleted, and that makes me believe that these helmets are more than prototypes.
The matte black helmet with the Washington logo looks phenomenal with the black jerseys and the gold chrome helmet looks absolutely outstanding. The gold chrome looks very similar the helmets that the Baylor Bears unveiled in January. More and more teams are taking measures to try and make themselves appealing to recruits, and having awesome jerseys to wear is definitely a plus.
