Many of the nation’s top 2014 football recruits are in Beaverton, Oregon for Nike’s ‘The Opening’ this week. During Monday’s SPARQ rating National Championship, combine-style events where players earn points for their speed, power, agility, reaction and quickness, one prospect stood out among the rest.
Speedy Noil, the 19th best prospect to 247sports, record 45.3 inches on the vertical jump and a 4.40 in the 40-yard dash. It’s no wonder some of the nation’s top football programs are courting the services of the 6’0”, 161 pound wide receiver from New Orleans, Louisiana. Noil has offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Notre Dame, Texas, Texas A&M and USC, among others. Noil’s 45.3 inch vertical would have been the highest recorded at the 2013 NFL Combine (two inches higher than Christine Michael’s).
