Shortly after he was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars to play running back, former Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson referred to himself as an offensive weapon, and Trey Wingo shortened it to OW. Apparently that position has now stuck and that is the position that he is listed as on the Jaguars depth chart online. Is this perhaps the start of a new official position on NFL teams? Or is this just an anomaly brought on by Denard Robinson? I’m sure Ohio State fans will be willing to say it stands for “Ow” as in what Denard said every time he got hit and had to come out.
