Keven Veilleux scores a filthy shootout goal in the ECHL
Published
During an ECHL game between the Kalamazoo K-Wings and the Wheeling Nailers (yes, that is really their name), the two were tied after overtime and went to a shootout. That’s when Nailers forward Keven Veilleux dug deep into his bag of tricks and pulled off this filthy move. Plenty of times we’ve seen guys come in backwards, but never have I seen a player then pull the puck between his legs to his forehand and then fire it just under the crossbar. This was a beauty of a move that kids will be trying to emulate everywhere. Wheeling did go on to win the game in a shootout but unfortunately for Nailers fans they’ve already been eliminated from the playoffs.
