While Ohio State was long believed to be the front-runner for top 100 RB recruit Jordan Davison, the Buckeyes seem to no longer be in contention and the belief is that Michigan and Oregon are the two most likely to land a five-star and the No. 2 RB in the 2025 class according to Rivals. Via On3’s Steve Wiltfong:
Michigan has also been close to snagging the blue-chipper’s verbal. There was some positive buzz for the Maize and Blue coming out of his official visit the first weekend of June and that ramped back up this week.
Perhaps that has halted.
Ohio State’s pursuit according to Dotting The Eye is due to Davison being reportedly 240-pounds (he’s listed as 203) and that the Wolverines are looking for a PR move over OSU:

Sam Webb also reporting that Michigan could very well take 3 RBs in the class with Jasper Parker and Donovan Johnson already in the fold and Davison also a possibility:
